Last post

Last one for this topic until I get inspired to write about something else.
It's all good. It's pretty balanced.

I was reading a fitness magazine last night that advised all these little nutrition tips and we do them ALL. It doesn't mean we are perfect, but the habit and attitude have shifted. And exercise is still a main priority.

I don't behave or think like a fat unhealthy person anymore. And since I got back from holidays, I realised that there is more unconscious good thinking than bad. Beliefs and "little voice" thoughts have changed.

Since my tummy flattened, I can wear almost anything except skinny jeans. I buy clothes in size 8 - 12 depending on the cut, and everything I own looks fine. Although my work wardrobe is dowdy but it's only office work so I don't care.

Niki and I are vain, we admire ourselves in the mirror. This is shallow and senseless, but when you've been a fat girl and then you look in the mirror and see a nice figure it's still a surprise. This morning I wasn't surprised anymore.

I'm off to a spin class at lunch, and weights after work tonight. I'm taking rest days (2 last week) and making time for sleep, eating, socializing, exercise and cooking. All my favourite things. I need to work on making a bit more time for reading and spending time with my partner.

It's all good.

Love,

Bikini shot

Here it is. I'm happy with the upper half of my body. My legs, well, they were always big, now they look huge. Apparently when I run all the loose skin moves from side to side, like flubber. Lovely. Oh, and that mark on my forehead isn't always there - I had just taken off a snorkling mask.

Back from holidays

I'm back from holidays and back at the office. Melbourne seems lighter. I am not, however. I have managed to gain an extra tummy in the last 2 weeks, as a result of slowly slackening off and eating more and more (plus having cocktails most nights of the week). I don't mind - I was on holidays, and I still managed to exercise most days. This week I am being very conscious of my food intake and will knock it off. I will weigh myself on Sunday morning and see what the damage is. I do know that I am wider, as I was measured for clothes at the end of week 1 in Bali, and now they are too tight.

We had four glorious days of mountain biking, snorkling, swimming and kayacking on Lembogan Island at the end of our trip. Our highlight was cycling the entire island (a 16km trip that took 2.5 hours up and down some very steep hills) even with a nauseous tummy. It was wonderful.
