Only one sleep to go till we cover our 100km walk. We're packed. We're eating pasta and muesli. Niki is buying a last pair of socks. We've both been to the physio or osteo to get the last treatments on our backs and other sore bits before we walk.
The logistics are sorted. We have 3 different support crews driving and helping us throughout the 24 hour period. Friends and family are coming to the finish line. We've bought snacks and muesli bars. The coffee is packed just in case. I have at least 3 changes of clothes - for a 24 hour race!
The weather is going to be lovely.

We're excited. I'm a little nervous. I know it's going to hurt at some point. I want it to be joyous.
Love

All the best chicky. WOWZERS. I'd be excited and scared too. It made me think back to when I did the Gold Coast Marathon in July 2007. I was so scared. I worried I wouldn't finish within the cutoff (7:10). I walked pretty much all of it. 42.2 km. You're doing more than double that. I made the cutoff (just!).
Go TEAM! I'll be cheering you on. I want you ALL to finish. Don't make me come and pick you up in my ambulance ;)
Take care. Sleep well tonight kids.

Hello Team 616 - Power Talkers. You guys rock! A big congrats to each of you. WOO HOO - you ALL finished. Good work.
30:34. Wowzers. Long day hey. Can't wait to hear all your Trail stories (hope they aren't war trail stories though).
Hey Miss Jojo! Long time no see! I just saw your post on my non-existent blog (I logged into esstarr email, for the first time in a long time). It's so good to see you so healthy & fit! I've let myself go a little the past 6 months. Too much life stuff to concentrate. For me there seems to be a direct negative correlation between socialising and exercising (and therefore fitness, health etc). The more I go out and have fun, the less I get up early to exercise, therefore the more weight I put on etc etc. Vicious cycle.
Blah blah. But things are good again over here.
I can't wait to hear how you went in the walk. I'm so chuffed for you!
Stay well, and let's chat later? You can find me on facebook too if you use that. Search Emma Louise Milne, or The Feminist Bookshop. xx
Jules - now that we have finished the walk, the only word we can use to describe it, and our experience, is AMAZING. Which makes me want to recommend it to you :)
Es - I'm so glad you found me and I loved looking at your facebook photos. I'm in Sydney in August (a long way away I know) but letting you know now! - i will visit your bookshop.

Hey Miss JoJo
Okay then. Count me in to join your Team next year.
Yeah, I remember that 'amazing' feeling when I finished the 42K marathon. It's cool hey. Then I couldn't walk for nearly 3 days. Feet so sore. I wasn't very prepared for the big walk. It was stupid me doing it really. But I'm so stubborn.
